I have been taking photographs for over 20 years now, and got into photography through my involvement with carp fishing. Taking pictures of the large carp that we occasionally caught for posterity.

Photography then became a hobby in its own right, and has been so ever since.

I still Carp fish today, and always have my camera gear to hand as you never know when a photo opourtunity will present itself.

Untill recently i had always used Minolta camera equipment and was using a Minolta dynax 7D.
I now use a Sony Alpha A900 full frame digital SLR, and a Sony Alpha A700 aps-c digital SLR, along with a selection of Sony and Minolta lenses.

Sony took over the Minolta digital slr production a couple of years ago, and continued with the history and tradition that Minolta had developed over the years.

Living close to such stunning and wonderful scenery as I do in North Devon, this has had a massive influence on the type and style of photography that I do. With many beaches, such as Westward Ho, Instow and miles of coastline, Dartmoor and Exmoor national parks within 40 miles in either direction, it's no wonder that this is what the bulk of my photography entails.

One thing that never fails to amaze me is that no matter how many times I visit a location, the light is always different and has a dramatic effect on how the image looks.

I have seen some wonderful sights whilst out taking pictures, and some of the sunsets that I have witnessed have been unbelievable. I hope you get as much enjoyment viewing the images as I have.
